Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Roland J — 02 Aug 2009
An innocent man is hanged by a lynching mob but survives and proceeds to join the law force and track down his would-be killers in this action-packed western. Clint Eastwood had been doing a good job in his spaghetti westerns so Hollywood decided to try to cash in on his new-found fame, and this movie succeeds.
The movie's main theme is of course revenge, justice, and how far you are prepared to go to achieve your goals, and the moral issues that turn up along the way. I thought it was really good.
