Review of Hancock (2008) by Mark N — 19 Apr 2012
There is a brilliant movie hiding behind the messily constructed movie that made it to the screen. Taking the, now old hat, comic book idea of making a realistic Superhero world looks brave but ends up a mess of half realized ideas and missing material.
Much of the plot feels like you are only seeing 30% of the story and that there is a much grander vision here that might have worked in a more traditional telling and this limited view leaves you with questions you'd rather have seen answered.
