Hancock had so much going for it. It's got three talented actors, and a great twist on the super-hero genre. However, 30 minutes into the film, it's clear that no effort will be put into developing these characters and bringing their connections with eachother to a plausible conclusion.

Instead, we get a half baked villain, who I don't even think has his name mentioned ever. We also get corn ball, spoon fed drama that never, ever works. For instance, there is a scene at the hospital when two people are possibly about to die.

The scene is about 20 minutes long. At one point I looked at my watch and said, "Will someone please die already?" The music is horrible, the special effects never look good, and the camera set up is implausibly annoying: Every shot is hand held.

Please, avoid seeing this film, it'll only make your head hurt, go see 'The Dark Knight' instead.
