Review of Hancock (2008) by Brendan N — 03 Jan 2014
The film was interesting for the first half, quite slow in the middle and downright silly for the third. the overall story lacks any real menace from a villain which really does beg the question why have one at all. Smith is good in the lead but Berg was the incorrect choice to direct such a film.
The films humour is what helps in the beginning but the sharp change in story puts the film into a weird ark which it can never overcome. good for a night in but definately not the film it could of been, whatever early script ideas were obviously abandoned once Smith was bought in.
