Review of Hancock (2008) by Jake H — 22 Feb 2014
I honestly think this movie is extremely underrated. I loved its high energy feel, and Will Smith gives one hell of a performance as a troubled superhero. He pulls off the role flawlessly, capturing the character's rough and gritty exterior, while also nailing the inner turmoil that he is suffering.
There is a fair amount of comedy in the mix, but with a story that centered around beings that were essentially Gods, there was a grounded and emotional core to it all that I really connected with. Great performances all around, a very cool story, and great direction from Peter Berg.
