Review of Hamlet 2 (2008) by Michelle S — 14 Nov 2012
A hard film to fully get behind, thanks in part to the very hit and miss script, that said there are moments of brilliance here and a nicely handled controversial musical is a real highlight. It may all be patchy but the laughs that work make Hamlet 2 worth admission, as does a zany plot.
Still no matter how you look at it, Coogan is the reason we are all watching and he pays off in abundance with a delightfully zany performance. That said, I await the Alan Partridge movie more!
