Review of Hamlet (1996) by Karol N — 26 Apr 2008

I think Shakespeare should be subtitled. Seriously, or have copies of the play at the theater and be able to follow along or something. I wish I liked it more. Maybe it was the fact that it was 4 hours long.

Or maybe that Kenneth Branagh is not a good film actor (his theatre training ruins him! well, it kinda worked in Much Ado About Nothing, but not here). The repeated images of Rufus Sewell approaching Denmark on his horse were honestly my favorite part of this movie.
