Review of Hamlet (1996) by Antigoni X — 15 May 2008
Just briliant! Despite being the first unabridged theatrical film version of the play, running almost 4 hours (!) you don't feel tired even for a minute! How can you get bored when you see an amazing performance by the leading actors (so many prestigious names that I don't know with which one to begin) and cameo appearances by names as Charlton Heston, Judi Dench, Robin Williams, Gerard Depardieu and so many more... ?Futhermore, Patrick Doyle's score and Branagh's direction are exquisite!
I totally recommend it!
