Review of Hamlet (1996) by Diggerjohn O' The North — 13 Jul 2008
Branagh's wonderful take on the dark prince of Denmark. The Victorian decor and costumes add to the splendor. Billy Crystal didn't seem to belong, but it is more than made up for by the wonderfully foolish Robin Williams (who was Shakespearean trained).
Beautiful film. Branagh himself was spectacular in the title role. A must for any fan of the Bard.
