Review of Hamlet (1996) by Tanith H — 14 Jul 2008
Okay, once you get over the fact that its ridiculously long, and accept that your never gonna sit through the thing in it's entirety in one shot, its a good movie. Probably the best movie version because its the entire play.
The cinematography is amazing, the score is really pretty, and the acting is great, even if over the top at times. Also it doesn't go into the "Hamlet had an Oedipus complex" bull crap.
