Review of Hamlet (1996) by Richard D — 27 Nov 2012
Simply put, this in my opinion, is Ken Branagh's masterpiece. Everything about this film is nearly flawless: the direction is clean, the set pieces and costumes breathtaking, and the long and often tounge-twisting nature of the text is delivered smooth and easily understood by anyone.
Truly, an amazing cienmatic experience that truly achieves what Branagh does best....making The Bard accessible to all. Which is exactly how he was meant to be.
