Review of Hamburger Hill (1987) by Coop L — 05 Apr 2008
Arguably the best film John Irvin will ever make, but thats not saying much. The film successfully portrays the teetering comradrerie and racial issues between American soldiers during the Vietnam War.
The movie is a good example of the behind the scenes attitudes of soldiers and how they acted together during their down time. But the film's action has that cheap 80s touch and visually looks like a TV movie at best.
Definatley the lesser in the slew of Vietnam flicks releseased in that era.
