Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Andy S — 24 Jan 2008
Dissapointing that the Jamie we came to know and love is killed quite quickly (also dies in the Director's cut, which I haven't seen). Also sad that Jamie isn't played by Danielle Harris (oh well, we get to see her in 2007).
I would say this is actually the scariest movie in the Halloween series (slightly scarier than 4 and 5). While it seems to have its own story and not be part of the overall plot of the series, it does in a way forward the plot of 4 and 5.
Unfortunately, Pleasence died during post-production so the ending of the normal version had to be changed and it wound up being confusing. This might be why the plot of the next 2 movies seems to ignore 4-6.
That being said, you should still definitely check this out, though you might want to see 4-6 after seeing 1,2,7, and 8.
