Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Charles James I — 31 Oct 2008
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. The movie that tries to explain to us that the origin of Michael is that a demonic voice told him to kill his family members, and that's what makes him strong & un-dying. Pretty lame.
We know Jason Voorhees is a zombie, and that Freddy Krueger is a demon, thats why their unstoppable killing machines. But thats expected, and less scary. Now, Michael just appears as a shadow who kills & kills untill he's finished. Your not supposed to know why or what he is and about him. Being unknown makes it more strange, and this case creepy.
Don't try to explain things, you crappy writers. Just because you have no new stories dosen't mean you go and make a cruddy backstory and ruin a great franchise. In my opinion, this movie was better than 5. Not completely garbage, it has some good parts, but it's still pretty cruddy in some ways.
