Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by André D — 24 Sep 2009
I break the Halloween franchise into 5 segments:
1 The Jamie Lee Curtis Laurie Strode trilogy (1,2, and H20).
2 The Jamie Llyod/Thorn Trilogy (4,5, and 6).
3 Rob Zombie's Vision (The two remakes).
4 Halloween 3 (non-Michael Myers sequel).
5 Halloween Resurrection (no connection to others except the JLC opening sequence).
The conclusion (if you could call it that since there are so many alternate versions and endings to this movie) to the thorn trilogy has a solid look and feel to it, but the script is such a jumbled mess of several scripts (including (supposedly) one by Quentin Tarantino). The acting is exceptionally sub-par as well.
It's sad to say this was Donald Pleasance's swan song...
