I hadn't fully recovered from the initial "Oh, COME ON !!" feeling from the epilogue, which by the way wasn't as bad as it could have been (it actually made sense, although the retrocontinuity is strained), and I was just beginning to get immersed, when everything just teenmoviefied.

The dignity of the Halloween serie just died when super stock characters and pseudo-cool hip cyber-stuff (Internet, reality TV, intentionally bad webcam feeds, chatting) got the partying teen's attention.

To top this off, Freddie Harris' speech (two times) about media and entertainment is so insincere, ironic and moralistic in a consensualist, self-righteous way that it doesn't even pass as a cheap substitute for social commentary.

The storyline is poor, the movie is not at all scary, the ending is once again inconclusive and highly predictable, and, after a part 8 this bad, we really, really don't want another one. The only reason I gave this movie a 1 star rating instead of a 1/2 star is because of the opening.
