Review of Halloween: Resurrection (2002) by Justin O — 31 Oct 2012
The final chapter before the remake, this one starts off with a brief scene that has Michael killing Jamie Lee Curtis, a scene that really betrays the character and has no connection to the rest of the movie.
If you take that scene out, and I wish we could, then you have a silly film about a bunch of college students filming a reality show in Michael's old house that wind up running into him and getting killed off.
While it is not of the level of the best films in the franchise, the reality show parts of the film are actually pretty entertaining and the cast is decent. A more watchable film than the dreadful part 6, and even at times more fun than H20.
While open for a sequel, this version of Michael Myers never returned, only to be rebooted by Rob Zombie.
