Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by ]V[A++ — 11 Jul 2009
Thankfully devoid of the psycho slasher Mike Myers, this one changed everything for the better, but sadly tanked due to a spineless marketing campaign (why the #3?) and halfwit audiences wanting yet more slice and dice. Doh!
Tom Atkins is in fine form hauling ass along country roads to avoid suited killers out to protect the silver Shamrock mask factory. Stunning Panavision lensing, spooky use of small town USA, amazing minimal Carpenter/Howarth electro score and a fiendishly diabolical plot to murder every kiddie celebrating an over commercialized Halloween in North America! what's not to love?
