Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Noah C — 26 Sep 2009
I think this movie rules.
You all can hate it all you want, but this is the most refreshing film in the entire dragged-out Halloween franchise.(since the original of corpse!)simply because, there is *NO* Michael Meyers in it.
Micheal Meyers should have died in the first film.but nooo, audiences wanted more.
Halloween III has no Michael Meyers because he *DIED* in the previous film. part III was intended to be the first of a series of spooky tales to be released every halloween, all under the title "Halloween",each with its own different chapter title and story,(kinda like tales from the crypt)in this case "Season of the Witch". but again, all audiences wanted was more of the same boring regurgitated,Michael(the bullet proof) Meyers plot..where he walks around all slow like, killing people for no reason.
So they 86'ed the idea to make you happy, and brought the idiot back to life again.
Lame.
Dont get me wrong, the original Halloween is pure slasher gold..but this tale is more of a sci-fi/horror B-movie,starring Tom Atkins and directed by John Carpenter.LOTS of fun to watch as a movie on its own..
P.S. fuck Rob Zombie.
