Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Eric B — 21 Jun 2011

Truly an underrated film. the series was originally supposed to be an anthology (hello people, myers died in part 2!) but people were michael obsessed so they brought him back. I love the soundtrack except for that cursed song -.-.

There isnt much blood & guts, but its still disgusting with insects & snakes Dx oh the horror!!

But theres actually an undrlieing theme I didnt realize till I read it.

Well the plot (sounds coocoo but) is of a madman in the occult or something who sells an evil product. the masks. which during a commercial will kill the children wearing them (thats y its the night no one came home).

Now heres the realism: how many products had to be returned for the danger they posed towards their buyers, & children. but in this he's purposely distributing a dangerous product meant for harm. creepy huh?

As I said I love the soundtrack. it has this dread to it. there isnt much ongoing music. but when its there its more effective than the original theme.

This was terribly underrated. its very good but u have to watch it for what it is. a horror film. dont watch it bcuz its a halloween film. when I saw this I saw it as that & didnt give it a chance. till I learned what was earlier in this review. so if u watch it, watch it as season of the which, not halloween 3.
