Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Mike P — 30 Sep 2013
O.k. I know iam in the minoriity on this one. Alot of people hate this film cause it didnt have Micheal Myers in it. So what. Hes a tired story. They should of left him alone after the first one!
The plot concerns a mad toy maker who wants to take Halloween back to its Celtic roots while playing a nasty trick on the consumerism of the holiday. Although flawed in its execution, Halloween 3 is a damn good horror film. The plot is ingenius.
This film is great. It has an imaginative story, great scares, wonderful cinematography and some of the best 'Carpenter music' to grace a 'Carpenter' film!. And alot of gruesome head splittings with lots of creepy-crawlies. I love this film. They should of just called it Seson of the Witch. Maybe then people would have given this film the respect it deserves! A SOLID HORROR FILM! Ill take this over any Michael Myers sequel anyday!
