Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Allen R — 13 Sep 2014
This is a sequel not in continuation, but in the spirit of the franchise. While it doesn't contain the Michael Myers story, it does on the otherhand maintains the feel of its predecessors. The way it was shot, directed, and scored you can tell it has a connection.
.. Maybe not directly, but by association. John Carpenter and Debra Hill were the producers along with loyal colleague Tommy Lee Wallace in the director's chair. Halloween 3 is a cousin to the franchise.
Hell it even shows the original film on tv... To say this isn't a Halloween film is just ludicrous. The subject matter is more true to the lore of All Hallows Eve than the Michael Myers films. The movie is zany yes, but fun and festive.
It's perfect for the holiday season... The season of the witch.
