Review of Halloween II (2009) by Robb J — 08 Feb 2009
Events in this movie occur on the same night as the first. A little weird considering John Carpenter isn't behind the camera, which shows when you watch this as part of a double bill with the original.
Rick Rosenthal perhaps shows the extent of John Carpenter's skill and how it made such an impact with the previous movie. This film is largely considered one of the best and perhaps most necessary of all horror series sequels after the cliffhanger of an ending in Halloween.
Michael Myers is able to slash and torture his way towards the hospital bed that Laurie Strode is recovering in while Dr. Sam Loomis continues trying to track him down... latter sequels show how much Jamie Lee Curtis and Carpenter meant to this series.
