Review of Halloween II (2009) by James H — 09 Mar 2009

Picking up right where the first film left off, Halloween II manages to be a very entertaining and interesting sequel. Instead of upping the ante in terms of violence and gore like other films of this genre (although this film does compared to its predecessor), director Rick Rosenthal (who would later direct the abomination that is Halloween: Resurrection) still pays close attention to atmophere and suspense, while builing on the mythology Carpenter had started in the original, without going overboard like some of the other sequels.
