It tries to be a continuation of the original movie, but the silly synthesizer score, the emphasis on gore, and the noticeable lack of the first's suspense and atmosphere really hurts it. It's also a major mistake reducing Jamie Lee Curtis's role to a whining sleepwalker.
A disappointing sequel.
