Decent follow up to Carpenters masterpiece. However the suspense and tension that made Halloween so amazing give way to gratuitous gore and violence of Halloween 2. Still much better than most critics give credit for.
I must say I didn't enjoy the revalation of Michael's motivation for relentlessly stalking Jamie Lee. I didn't need to know she was is sister. It was much cooler to just ponder over what motivates the man behind the captain Kirk mask.
Even with all its shortcomings Halloween 2 is still a solid Slasher flick. That is definitely worthy of waisting 90 minutes on.
