Review of Halloween II (1981) by Jeremy — 25 Oct 2017
People who say this movie is bad or ruins the original are just morons. I think this was the best way to do a sequel to a film like Halloween.
Halloween is a slow burn. Nobody knows what's going on until the end. We have our three main Characters together for the first time. It ends on such a climax that when part 2 starts it moves with that new momentum. In part 2 the town is now aware of Michael. It's all the aftermath of the events from the first film. They couldn't go and make the same slow burn film as the first. It had to be different.
I wish they would release a combined edition with both films seamlessly connected. I would watch it every Halloween.
