Review of Halloween II (1981) by Reid S — 11 May 2012
Haloween II picks up where the original Haloween left off, Michael Meyers is still after Laurie Strode(Jamie Lee Curtis) this time his tracks her down to the local hospital and proceeds to kill anyone standing in his way including the hospital staff. Halloween II replaces the tension and the credibility of the first one and replaces it with blood and gore that was made famous in the Slasher genre in the 80's. Curtis is reduced to being hysterical or running. And Donald Pleasance phones this one in with constant eye bugging. This has to one of the most deserted hospitals in film history but overall this movie has developed into a cult film and considering how many sequels and remakes where produced after this one, this is one of the better sequels until H20 came along.
