Review of Halloween II (1981) by Horror Movie H — 07 Sep 2012
I do not get why critics and some audience members bash this film, it's a great sequel to a great movie. While it pales in comparison to the original 1978 film, it still makes for an entertaining horror flick that continues the story of Laurie Strode, Dr.
Loomis and Michael Myers. In #2, Laurie has been taken to the Haddonfield Hospital and after the ambigious ending of Halloween, Michael is back as well attempting to find Laurie and kill her. While many people bash the film, I still call it an entertaining flick.
The music is just as creepy, and the suspense just builds and builds. My only real complaint is how they added more blood and gore, and apparently it was John Carpenter's decision. In any case, I still like to watch both films back to back and make it one film.
Rating: 4/5.
