Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Jennifer B — 01 Sep 2010
Many claim that this is the best sequel in the Halloween series, but I don't see what there is to set this apart from most of the other entries in the series. It's nice to see Jamie Lee Curtis back, of course, but she is 20 years older and because of that she really can't play the same sort of Laurie Strode.
The premise is interesting, with it being twenty years later and all, but in it's execution it's really nothing new and nothing that hasn't been done before. I am a fan of the ending though, even though they completely fuck that up in the following sequel, Halloween: Resurrection which is just god awful.
