Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by William B — 07 Oct 2017
H2O is a good sequel to the Halloween franchise but it still misses the target by a long shot for being a great horror movie. H2O actually had some good moments and some nostalgia from the original Halloween but it doesn't t fully support the movie.
The movie's cheesiness brings it down a bit. I could probably say that the first Halloween was less cheesy. I also wasn't very fond of the cast. Jamie Lee Curtis was really the only one that I liked.
The climax was really good but it does show that the movie wasn't great with pacing. I'd say the worst thing about this movie though was that it had way too many false scares. This is a good sequel but it still isn't a great horror movie.
It's definitely better than the other Halloween sequels though. B-.
