Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Danny C — 06 Oct 2010
I was never a big fan of the original Halloween. It's probably because I'm from a completely different era and the 1978 version of Halloween just isn't that scary. So it's my opinion that this film is the strongest of the entire series and I know I'm going out on a huge limb here. If I grew up in the '70s, I'm sure my opinion would differ but luckily I'm too young for that.
Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode and H20 introduces us to her son John (Hartnett). It's the usual story of Michael stalking and killing, nothing really needs to be explained. All of them are the same, it's just a matter of which cast of characters you like best. I for one like this cast the best and it does a great job here giving us suspense and scary kills.
