Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Pandy 3 — 30 Oct 2010
Axe is not his style, knife it is!!!
Its an awesome slasher film, and the deaths are more bloody than ever. Finally, the mystery around Laurie Strode's sudden disappearance will come to an end, and Jamie Lee Curtis returns in a bad ass performance.
After 20 years from the beginning Laurie has created a new life with no strings attached to her past but the haunting memories that get more intense around Halloween, and her worst fear returns to do what he does best.
Despite its predictability, something finally changes in the script that twists the mind. Laurie sees evil straight in the eyes and literally takes her blood back. She's fearless, and we see her taking a bit of Myers strength and madness, and with no hesitation does what she was waiting to do in years hoping that this will be the end to her unresolved pain.
In general, its highly entertaining and probably the next best thing after the original in the franchise ;).
