Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Dave G — 22 Nov 2018
The Scream movies owed a big debt to Halloween, and in turn H20 seems rejuvenated by Wes Craven's slasher franchise. The result is a slick but unsubtle and generic movie that often substitutes genuine chills with noise.
At least with Curtis back the film has added weight, but the finality of its ending proved extremely problematic for future instalments.
