I've been a fan of this franchise my entire life, literally. To say this is disappointing is an understatement. I truly do not know WHAT happened in the writers room and beyond, but they intentionally disrespected the characters in favor of entirely new concepts, which are only haphazardly developed.
This trilogy of new installments ended with a big THUD.
