Review of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) by Tim M — 23 Oct 2007
Yep. As predicted, the Halloween series decided to take the route of every other tired franchise and play with the idea of mind-links! Could it get worse? No, it got better! At the kids hospital where the niece stays, because she's scared, she has a boyfriend with a stuttering problem who looks like Ron Perlman from Ice Pirates! Seriously, square head, bandana, balding, all there! Anyways, the only good part of this movie was that Mike killed a main charecter early.
Other than that, the gore was missing, as in, there would be a kill and we wouldn't see it, making the viewer rely on the story for any sort of gratification. I'm sorry, but when that important story is being told by the villian in Puma Man, you're in trouble.
I'd say avoid this one, unless you want to watch the whole series.
