As compared to the previous films, "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers" is a pretty ridiculous movie. It's a pretty big disappointment to see a franchise go from An amazing movie (Being the first one) to this mess.

Truly a sucky film.

So basically this movie takes place one year after the previous installment. One thing I didn't like was how the Halloween franchise was taking a turn into like magic, and evil curses. It was pretty ridiculous. At the end of "Halloween 4" we see that Jamie has stabbed her stepmother, because in the previous scene she has touched Michael's hand. To me, this is nothing like the first installment. I thought that "Halloween" was an excellent movie. Sure he's pure evil, but it's not like anyone is controlling him. I always thought that Michael was the best slasher killer because he was independent, smart, and killed for his own reasons. In the second Halloween trilogy, (which I like to call Halloween 4-6) the film franchise takes a different approach and makes everything a bit more satanic/witch like. And it's really annoying to see that.

What this film attempts to do, is reach out on how Myers is actually feeling inside of him. For the first time, we actually see emotion from him. While it sort of seems like a good idea, I don't think it was done very well. If they wanted to go in depth on how he was feeling, I would have much rather had more scenes with him struggling within himself, rather than scenes of Danielle Harris playing with a dog. It's just frustrating to see.

The acting job's in this movie are purely predictable. Donald Pleasence does a good job but he's been doing the same thing for four films. He says the same lines over and over again, and I think that we get that Michael is pure evil and he can't be stopped. It's way too repetitive, and it's too nostalgic, and very dull to watch. Danielle Harris barely says anything in the film, and we all know that she was a good screamer for these two films, and that's basically all she does.

The kills in this film I guess are pretty entertaining, and I've seen worse before, so I guess that was alright. But it seemed a little annoying at certain times. The camera does the thing that we always see in a Halloween film, where it goes to a first person point of view, so we are in the killers eyes. This is extremely repetitive to the previous movies, and it's so blatantly uninteresting that I really just wanted to skip the scene. It's aggrivating.

I mean there isn't much to say. There were a couple of enjoyable scenes, but overall, "Halloween 5" was just a ridiculous, repetitive, boring affair.
