Review of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) by Steve J — 30 Sep 2009
By no means a disaster, but treads the tired and tested formula, obviously. There are quite a lot of nice touches, and the plot isn't bad, the ending in particular was cool (if somewhat inexplicable).
Danielle Harris is actually very good as the child lead, but because you can always sense what's going to happen next, it becomes really quite boring by the last third. It also seemed to be quite odd how Michael Myers seemed to be able to be in two places at once all the way through it!
