Review of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) by Keenan S — 14 Aug 2011
Spooked me as a kid this one. Thats probably why I still rate it as a solid sequel. Wilbur nails Myers, where Warlock fell in the previous Myers fest Halloween II. His Myers is slow moving, though not ridiculously snail paced.
Methodical, almost ghost like, the way the character should be portrayed. The returning Pleasence is a welcome addition, bringing that touch of class that his experience has given him. Danielle Harris is also good as the kid Myers is now hunting down, manages to not be annoying unlike many child performances.
They ran out of ideas by the films last 10 minutes, but this is solid.
