Review of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) by Ineedausernamen — 05 Jul 2017
Until Halloween H20, this would be the last good entry in the series. It saw the return of Michael Myers, as per the film's title, and introduced a new victim rather than continuing the plot of the first two films.
Halloween 4 doesn't do as well as Halloween I+II, but it still stands out to me as one of the better slasher movies of the 80s, especially when compared to the Friday the 13th franchise, and worse yet, Halloween 5+6, two of the worst horror films of the 80s and 90s respectively.
But that's not what this review is about. It's about Halloween 4, a good movie that I like for the most part, but has one outstanding flaw- its two sequels. That's all there is to say.
