Review of Halloween (2018) by Matt T — 27 Dec 2018
It was a decent slasher film but the story seemed a bit bland and the decision making was so much worse. But hey I guess that is typical of a slasher film back then.
I sorta feel like this was the last shot to put a lock on the story of Michael Myers once and for all. And I'm pretty happy with that because the Halloween stories have been done to death!
I sorta feel that if this was the 2nd movie to the orginal and none others existed before then I think this rating overall would be much higher.
I think some movies have just been done to death like Jason and Freddie. I feel like maybe they need to leave it as is for at least another 50years before going there again!
It would be nice to see new different characters created with different storylines and supported with a decent budget. Most new slasher films are cheap and extremely fake. So would be nice to see Blumhouse productions sort after a new generational villian. At the moment it seems that they are doing the ghost evil spirits thing to death. Would like to see them mix it up a bit more than just cheap cheap jump scares.
Anyway, it was decent and was watchable from start to finish but would be something that'd be remembered from my point of view.
