Review of Halloween (2018) by Jessica K — 09 Nov 2018
Halloween is a great sequel that wipes the state clean after tons of terrible sequels. This film means that none of the sequels ever actually happened and that Michael was apprehended after the original.
It gives us a sense of all the pain, suffering and depression that Laurie Strode has been through her whole life and is definitely sad to watch. Jamie Lee Curtis gives a strong performance as the horror character we all know and love and definitely gives us a sense of what the life of Laurie has been like, Another actress who gives a great performance is Andi MAtichak who is a newer actress playing Laurie Strodes daughter, Allyson Strode.
Seeing three generations of Strodes all attacking Michael Myers who is still partly being played by Nick Castle is definitely very satisfying, It's definitely more gory than the original and was a little more than we all needed to see, but besides that it's a good sequel that all fans of the series, or just the original like me, should see.
