This is by no means a bad HALLOWEEN installment or a poorly made modern-horror movie, per se, but it's a massively missed opportunity for the franchise to truly return to the cinematic roots of the original.
David Gordon Green is a talented, thoughtful director, and I expected more finesse, deftness and other stylistic decisions.
