Review of Halloween (2018) by Leon B — 18 Oct 2018
The new Halloween instalment is a very effective horror-slasher movie that has you wondering what's going to happen from start to finish, which is how I felt when I first saw the original 1978 version , making me jump at nearly new scene that was thrown in.
Scary or not. David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have taken a leaf out of John Carpenter's book largely by adding in the pumpkin with a dark back round while the camera smoothly zooms in. This is the best sequel they have came up with since the previous sequels failed from grace and didn't have it's texture or the right story line's put in.
But all in all this was worth the wait after been in development hell.
