The flaws it does have easily could have been avoided given the creative team that launched this sequel. David Gordon Green, Danny McBride and Jason Blum assisted by John Carpenter himself have delivered a mostly competent sequel that is carefully loaded with nods to Carpenter's original and some potent, suspenseful and intense moments.
