Review of Halloween (2007) by Sean K — 31 Jan 2013

Let's all admit, Rob Zombie's beautifully trashy Halloween remake has it's moments. Sadfully though, the film over indulges in it's dark undertones washing out all the shock and suspense all the way through. I will give it to Zombie for his stylish direction and journey into Myer's past. Still, the film was a bit too graphic for it's own good, numbing the audience to the point of the typical 'whose gonna get gutted next!'.

A stylish and somber horror flick that loses it's steam quickly...
