Review of Hall Pass (2011) by David C — 11 Sep 2011
This is atypical Farrelly Brothers from the get go but it gradually builds into a crescendo of funny shit and piss worthy of their other pictures, which I mainly enjoy. Jason Sudeikis really deserves much of the credit; he just about killed me.
Anyways, it starts off a little slow but eventually gets to be pretty funny in the usual Farrelly fashion. I don't know how Owen Wilson agreed to be filmed so close to a chocolate kielbasa, but it sort of figures, and it's funny as hell.
Definitely a guy's flick for the most part, but there is enough for the girls stuck watching it with their guys to keep them chuckling. I watched it in mixed company, and was worried a little at first, but it turned out to be a winner.
Almost 2 hours of suitable diversion.
