Review of Hall Pass (2011) by Alvin Y — 12 Dec 2011
I'm surprised that I actually liked this movie. This is not your typical *Hangover* or *Bridesmaids* movie, instead, it approaches a much different concept about people who in 40s or 30s or 20s. To me, it's not stupid at all, there is so much to Rick and Fred that you may care for them and for their wives. I'm also laughing all the way through, that means, it's not to those in and out jokes, but with such sweetness and charm that is easy to love. However, my problems come with most scenes that are beyond stupid and should've not been shown at least. And also, how in the world would you think these 2 guys are obsessed with women if they are married and happy with their wives, I don't understand?
I gotta admit, this is absolutely not for kids, not for old people either, because old men would want to see some hot girls before they die? I prefer TSAM, than this one from the Farelly brothers, I know they're good at making good comedy films, but time goes by, it gets more stupider as it is. It makes me want to watch this again, but not with those scenes where Fred and Rick are with those lunatic men, come on, this should at least get a consideration for being a funny movie. Not the best of 2011 but one of the few films that I LOL very hard this year, and yes even The Hangover part 2 was even funny but way beyond generic!
