Review of Hall Pass (2011) by Muntasim T — 18 Sep 2011
I must say it exceeded my expectations somewhat, as I was feeling resigned to fate that it would be another gross out comedy from Farrelly brothers. While it has such moments (surprisingly few by their standards), it also has a lot of heart and warmth, and I felt a specific demographic (late 30s /early 40's married male) would find a lot of things familiar in their lives! Owen Wilson plays a role that goes somewhat against his usual ones, and I find that as a positive sign of growing up.
Enjoyable!
