Review of Half Nelson (2006) by Maybelline T — 05 Sep 2008
This movie hits close to home for me. Gosling's performance of a functional addict is near perfect. It's subtle, like a short story shot in a documentary style. In some ways, the story reminds of Lost in Translation, how too wayward souls can find each other.
The last 30 minutes is extremely powerful. This is the type of I crave to create. As some would describe good art: it's true.
